National Honor Society
What is National Honor Society?
The National Honor Society is an organization established to give special recognition to students, throughout the United States who have displayed the qualities of scholarship, leadership, service, and character during their high school years.

Members for the National Honor Society are selected at the end of the first semester of the school year. Selection for National Honor Society is based on four criteria: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Candidates must be a junior or senior and must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5. They must possess outstanding qualities in the four areas outlined by the National Honor Society. Students may not apply for membership. Membership is an honor bestowed upon a select group of students by the faculty council on behalf of the school faculty.

Qualified students are selected for NHS membership by a majority vote of the faculty council on the basis of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

Our Pledge
I pledge myself to uphold the high purpose of this society to which I have been elected. Serving in every way by word and deed to make its ideals the ideals of my school and my life. To the glory of character, to the strength of leadership, to the power of wisdom, and to the love of service, we pledge our vows.
