Ryan Richendollar finished 3rd at the cross country regionals with a time of 16.08.30!
Ryan has advanced to the OHSAA Cross Country State Championships at Fortress Obetz and Memorial Park that will take place next Saturday, November 5th at 11:00 a.m.

Our Lady Warriors defeated Zane Trace in three sets (25-21, 26-24, 25-18) to claim their fourth consecutive district championship!
Our Lady Warriors advance to the regional semifinals to play Wheelersburg on Thursday, November 3rd at 7:30 p.m. at Logan High School.

Registration begins today and ends on Sunday, November 6th.
There will be a mandatory parent meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the high school gym with Ryan Olaker, our Adena Varsity Boys Basketball Coach.
Registration forms can be dropped off in the elementary office or you can bring them to the parent meeting on Sunday, November 6th.

Our kindergarten students got a special visit from both the Concord Township and the Deerfield Township Fire Departments today!
A big thanks to both fire departments for providing this learning experience for our students.

The end of the first nine weeks of school is next Thursday, October 20th. There is no school on Friday, October 21st.
First nine weeks grade cards will go home on Friday, October 28th.
Our third grade students will be taking the Fall English Language Arts State Test on Tuesday, October 18th and Wednesday, October 19th.

Adena Elementary State Report Data Highlights
Adena Local Schools is a member of Region 15, which encompasses Ross, Scioto, Pike, and Lawrence Counties. There are 88 school districts that reside in these counties.
State report card and value-added data has been released and Adena Elementary received 5 stars in both "Progress" and "Gap Closing". According to State Support Team Region 15, we were one of only 7 school buildings in Region 15 to receive the highest rating in both categories.
The "Progress" rating is tied to the value-added data from our 4th grade 2021-2022 state assessments. Value-Added measures academic growth in our students from school year to school year. We received 5 stars for growth shown in our fourth grade students in both language arts and math.

On October 13th during Parent/Teacher Conferences, we will have a representative from Southern State Community College in the guidance office to help you and your senior student fill out your FAFSA. This will be by appointment only, and space is limited. We will have three appointments available every half hour, starting at 4:30 and running through 6:30. Appointments will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis. Adena Girls Biddy Basketball sign-ups will be held on Sunday, October 16th and Sunday, October 23rd.
Third and fourth grade signups are from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and fifth and sixth grade sign-ups are from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on each date.

If you look closely, you will see a butterfly that was released today by our second grade staff.
Each second grade class has been studying the metamorphosis of a butterfly and have waited to see their caterpillar evolve into a butterfly for weeks.
The big day is when their butterfly is released!
