Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I hope this message finds you rested, recharged, and ready to begin another year of growth, learning, and community.
As we begin this new school year, I am filled with pride and excitement about the incredible progress our district continues to make. Most notably, I am thrilled to announce the completion of our brand-new baseball field, a facility that reflects our ongoing commitment to providing top-tier opportunities for our student-athletes and the broader school community. This project would not have been possible without the support of our community, and we look forward to celebrating many games and accomplishments on this new field.
Academically, our students have shown strong improvement, and we are proud to report gains in achievement scores across multiple grade levels. These results are a testament to the hard work of our students, the dedication of our educators, and the support of our families. While we celebrate these gains, we are also doubling down on our commitment to academic growth for every student. Our district focus this year remains on increasing rigor, enhancing instructional practices, and ensuring that each child has the support they need to succeed.
We are also expanding our investment in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education—ensuring students not only gain foundational knowledge but are prepared for a world that demands creativity, innovation, and collaboration. Our STEAM initiatives will include enhanced project-based learning, deeper integration of technology in the classroom, and real-world learning experiences.
At the heart of all we do is our connection to the community. Adena Local Schools remains committed to building strong partnerships with our families, local businesses, and community organizations. Together, we are creating a school environment where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Important Notice from Adena Local Schools:
The Gym parking lot and the elementary playground are scheduled to be paved next week July 28-August 1st.There will be no access to the gym parking lot July 28- August 1. Please make necessary arrangements.
Adena Local Schools will not have an on-campus after-school program this year. We are pleased to share information about three licensed programs within the district. Contact them for further details and to register. Be sure your child's Final Forms transportation and/or dismissal instructions are updated to reflect your family's daily plan!
